Hi there, yes it’s me again. I did tell you at the beginning of the week that I had a gazillion things to share with you! So this time it will be short and sweet!
The Indie Designer Knit A Long – have you heard of that? I first heard of this while listening to an audio podcast but I can’t for the life of me remember which one. Anyway it sounded like loads of fun and so I recently remembered about this and went on Ravelry and lucky me, it hasn’t stared yet! So I decided to share it with you just in case you were not yet familiar with this event.
Basically, once a year for a limited time, a number of indie designers offer their patterns at up to 25% discount to the participants in the Indie Designer Knit a long. So you buy one or more patterns and then knit and join in the relevant KAL ( cowl, hats, shawls etc). You have until Dec 31st to finish and share as many of your projects as you wish (of course only projects you made from patterns you bought via the KAL) and at the end there will be a massive giveaway with winners in each KAL and from what I heard about previous editions, the prices are super enticing.
So far the participating designers have yet to be announced but the KAL/event will launch on November 19th and here is a link to the Ravelry thread to join in the fun.
I’m quite excited about this and I look forward to learning who the participating designers will be and to hopefully get good deals on lots of new patterns. I also plan on participating in at least one KAL as I’d love to win something (I never win anything but who knows, maybe 2016 will be the year of change).
Have you participated in this before? Did you enjoy it and are you going to join in this time around? I’d love to hear from you if you have done this before or if you are joining like me for the first time.
That’s all for today folks. Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read my blog which I hope you enjoy. Until next time, take care:)
